Dave Stewart

Dave Stewart is the founder of Vista Clara Coffee in 1997 along with his wife, Joan. His roots reach back to 1970 when he and his brother started roasting coffee at The Wet Whisker Ice Cream Shop in Coupeville on Whidbey Island. The following year in 1971 they opened at Pier 70 in Seattle. From there they became Stewart Brothers Coffee and then Seattle’s Best Coffee. Dave then opened fifteen On The Go Espresso Bars and founded Vista Clara Coffee in 1997. Today, as a seasoned Roast Master, Dave continues to mentor and consult Russ and Ann Tarleton, who purchased Vista Clara Coffee. Dave has a lifelong passion for fresh roasted high-quality coffee.
